First of all, nobody's going to win a lawsuit regarding what they've given to the church. The church makes no promises to adhere to a particular individual's interpretation of Scripture. I'm amazed that she would do such a thing, and even she admits that it wasn't of God.
I'm so wowed at this church for having a presumably straight husband/wife pastoral team and yet standing up for civil rights, even to the loss of half their congregation. It's really encouraging.
It's really good to know that CNN is looking more into homosexuality. They've always been a network that looked at social issues a little better than the others, who are more focused on political issues rather than social. And, of course, you've gotta love Soledad O'Brien.
I look forward to seeing more from them. Keep me posted, cuz you know I'm not a regular watcher of CNN, so I'll likely have no idea when other relevant shows are coming on.
And BTW, I did watch the Gary and Tony special. Very moving, but also very frustrating. I didn't know it cost
that much to go the surrogacy route. I don't know why their state required them to have an egg donated from a third party, implanted into a second party surrogate, and then carried to term. Why didn't they just use in vitro fertilization and let the person with the egg be the surrogate if she was inclined? That would leave a third player out of the mix and make it cheaper. Although, it's probably for their protection, seeing as if it was the surrogate's egg, she might have even more of a legal claim on the child should she change her mind and decide to keep it; whereas, just because she carried it to term as a surrogate, it wasn't her baby biologically, so she really had no claim. So, it's probably safer going that route, but still, very expensive!

I'd better start saving up because I
do plan on having a family one of these ol' days.
