Progressive Christianity

Discuss religious sects that are spin-offs of orthodox/mainstream Christianity (e.g. Jehovah's Witnesses, LDS/Mormons, etc.), as well as non-Christian religions (e.g. Buddhism, Islam, etc.)

That is definitely true Bryan. And then it is also sad that so many churches do not teach the true Word of God as well as 70% of people who claim to be Christians don't ever read their Bibles.

What's so dangerous about these notions is that they masquerade as Christian. So, people are led astray because they want to believe in this easier thought pattern, so the fact that it masquerades as Christian gives them, in their mind, the perfect answer.

It reminds me of Scripture, when it says that Satan and his angels disguise themselves as angels of light.

So, these people can have a look, shell, or form of godliness, but the power thereof, which is rooted in rightly divided truth, is nowhere to be found. :disappointed:

Breaks my heart.

Bleh! Why does every church seem to have an agenda that is either liberal or conservative? I want a church that only works for GOD'S agenda and actively searches for GOD'S agenda.

I think this happens because no matter how much people claim they do not have their own built-in biases, we all do. People bring that into their faith. We just have to recognize them and acknowledge them

You're so right Pastor and it is truly heartbreaking, especially when you consider how many people will base their faith off of something one of these misinformed, mislead, unchrist-like "Christians" have said. How many people will be lost, because of 2nd hand Christianity?
